How Sudanna works, step by step

Chapter 1

Getting started

You don't need an account to browse Sudanna at all — every section is open to read. You only need one to message someone, buy a ticket, save a search, or post something yourself.

   Open the registration form

   From any page, use Register in the account menu, or go straight to /register. Fill in your name, an optional Arabic name, email, and password.

   Verify your email — when you're ready to post

   You're logged in the moment you register — no need to wait for anything to start browsing. A verification email lands separately, and you'll only need to click it before you can publish something of your own: a listing, a job, a forum question, a club. Browsing, messaging, and buying tickets never need it.

   Add a profile photo (optional)

   Right after registering, you'll get a one-time invitation to add a photo. Skip it and you get a coloured letter instead. Change it any time later from My profile.

Chapter 3

Offering a service

For: Tradespeople, carers, tutors, caterers, henna artists — anyone offering their skills rather than a product.

   Services Hub → a plan that works differently

   Unlike the Market Place, the Free tier here never expires. Featured and Promoted don't add listing time — they layer a temporary boost on top of your permanent listing, and can be added at any time later.

   Fill in the details

   Title, description, and city are required (from a fixed UK list); service area, qualifications, phone, website, map link, and social links are all optional.

Chapter 5

Applying for a job

For: Job seekers — always completely free, whatever the employer paid.

   Build your profile once

   Under Jobs → My profile, add an optional headline and bio, and upload a CV (PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 5MB). It's private and only ever shared once you apply.

   Apply from any live posting

   Open a posting, add an optional cover note, and hit Apply. You can only apply once per posting.

   Track it on "My applications"

   See every application's status in one place, and get an email whenever an employer moves you to Reviewed, Shortlisted, or Rejected.

Chapter 7

Starting a sports club

For: Anyone — no special role needed to begin. You become the club's captain.

   Create your club's page

   Name, description, and optionally a founding year, home ground, and achievements. Goes to Pending review immediately, like every listing type.

2. 2

   Build your roster

   As captain, add each member's name, position, bio, and photo. Add their email too, and it links to their real Sudanna account automatically, if they have one.

Chapter 9

Good to know

   Every listing type, one review system

   Market Place, Services Hub, Jobs, Events, and Sports clubs all share the same three states: Pending (submitted, awaiting an admin), Approved (live and visible), and Rejected (not published, with a reason shown to you). Editing anything always sends it back to Pending.

2. 2

   When you actually need a verified email

   Only to publish something of your own: a listing, a job posting, an event, a sports club, or a forum post. Browsing, messaging, applying for jobs, and buying tickets never need it.

3. 3

   The blue verified badge

   Granted by the Sudanna team, not something you switch on yourself — it shows next to a person's name wherever it appears once they have it.
